Chasing the Almighty Dollar

This project is another in a string of interactive artworks about the current condition of Americans who struggle to find the American Dream. Throughout my research, I found that most individual’s perception of the American Dream is intrinsically tied to a stable income. As the divide between the rich and the poor grows in America and umemployment continues to teeter on the brink of an ongoing recession, it becomes harder for the average American to save for retirement and their children’s future. Money just flies out the window as the bills pile up.

Below is the prototype for a new project called “Chasing the Almighty Dollar”. Flash version only so far, working on a new version for Processing.js that will have a more realistic look and feel. The next version will also be useable on an iOS device. Watch those bills just disappear into thin air!
